International Student

The Universities of Wisconsin are ready to welcome you!

Online classes can be taken from anywhere in the world as long as you have a computer that meets the minimum technical requirements. International students should be proficient in the English language and academically qualified.

Important considerations

  1. To enroll in an online degree program, you must be located in your home country, not in the United States. Due to U.S. Homeland Security regulations, international students residing in the United States cannot enroll in a fully online program.

  2. You must determine whether an online degree from a U.S. university will be accepted by your Ministry of Education (or other body regulating higher education in your country).

Your Online Student Experience

Being an online student isn’t as complicated as you might think.  The Universities of Wisconsin offer top-notch support and guidance to help you earn your university degree, along with the flexibility to fit with your life, your work and your goals.

Have you attended a college or university elsewhere and have credits to transfer?

Life happens. If you need to change programs or your home campus, Wisconsin Online offers you choices to help you meet your career and educational goals. Transfer options are available for all 13 University of Wisconsin institutions.

Transfer credit evaluations are available to any admitted Wisconsin Online student. We will review college credits you’ve already earned and evaluate which courses will transfer to your program.
