International Business is a unique major available to UW-Whitewater Bachelor of Business Administration students. As companies expand into other countries or work with global suppliers and customers, employees with international knowledge become increasingly valuable. Students who are interested in traveling or living abroad, or cultivating the skills needed in an increasingly global workplace are ideal for this program.
Learners will gain an in-depth understanding of global economics, finance, management, marketing and supply chain, as well as cross-cultural communication. In addition, all International Business students participate in a semester abroad before graduation.
Curriculum
The Online BBA in International Business degree requires a minimum of 120 credits, including: General education requirements, Business requirements, Major requirements and Electives (to bring the total to at least 120 credits). The Bachelor of Business Administration degree requirements have been designed to prepare you for success as a student in the program and your subsequent career. All online students have ready access to academic advising, library services, financial aid, technical support, mentoring, and career services.

Cross Cultural Communication (3 credits)
Global Supply Chain Management (3 credits)
International Management (3 credits)
International Finance (3 credits) or Economics of Globalization (3 credits) or Multinational Business Finance (3 credits)
Select 3 credits of study abroad coursework or at least 3 credits of the following: Any 491 or 497 Course or International Business Internship or Independent Study

Individuals wishing to deepen their knowledge with post-baccalaureate studies can complete an advanced degree online or on campus through the UW-Whitewater Master of Business Administration and an emphasis in International Business or one of 11 other unique emphases.
International Business is also available as a minor for both business and non-business students. Requirements can be found in the Course Catalog, or in the College of Business and Economics listing of minors and certificates.
