With an online Bachelor’s degree in Human Performance from UW-Whitewater you will explore careers in exercise science, cardiac rehabilitation, exercise physiology, fitness/strength training, recreation, and sport management. Program Description

Health and wellness are at the forefront of people’s minds now more than ever, and the Human Performance major will prepare you for a rewarding career in exercise science, health/fitness, recreation or sport management.

The 120 credit B.S. in Human Performance includes 45-credits of general education program coursework and the Bachelor of Science degree requirements in the College of Education and Professional Studies (6 credits). There are 47 credits of major coursework, which includes a 6-credit internship and 3-credit capstone requirement. Students will also complete a minor, which is typically comprised of 22 credits. The Department of Kinesiology offers online minors in health promotion, recreation, strength and conditioning, and sport management. Students may also choose a minor outside the department to broaden their professional qualifications.

A vast array of career options includes patient advocate, strategic communication manager, communication campaign specialist, community relations specialist, director of program development, corporate trainer, coordinator of health education, coordinator of personnel development, communication specialist, corporate event planner, fundraiser, and project manager.

Transfer applicants

Transfer applicants are students that have attended another college or university (including having earned an associate’s degree) but have never attended UW-Whitewater. You will find detailed application and transfer information at University Admissions.

Reentry applicants

Reentry applicants are students that have previously attended UW-Whitewater. Application information can be found at University Admissions.

Freshman applicants

Freshman applicants are students that have never attended a college or university. If you have never attended a college or university, regardless of age, you would be considered a freshman applicant. You can find application information for freshman applicants at University Admissions.

Second-Degree seeking applicants

Second-Degree seeking applicants are students who have already earned a bachelor’s degree and would like to pursue another. If you would like to earn another bachelor’s degree, you can apply to UW-Whitewater’s online bachelor’s program as a special student with full credentials. To complete your degree, you would only need to fulfill the College of Business and Economics requirements and the requirements for the major you choose.
