This program is designed for academic/instructional coaches, reading teachers and interventionists in K-12 environments, Title I teachers, RTI coordinators, and literacy coaches.

Program Description

The Reading Specialist Certification prepares licensed educators for advanced literacy leadership roles in K–12 schools. The program emphasizes applied literacy assessment, data-driven intervention, instructional coaching, and program evaluation to support diverse learners and classroom teachers. Aligned with Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction standards, coursework develops the expertise needed to lead school- and district-level literacy initiatives and improve reading achievement systemically.
